Simple antique fireplace in limestone
Simple antique fireplace in limestone: This is a comparatively simple stone fireplace, with a minimum of decor, but with a maximum of charm. It has clearly been repaired and adjusted, and those very useful hearth stones have been made from reclaimed limestone blocks with a 1/4 round at each front corner. We can supply bricks for the space behind hearth and between the side jambs if required, thereby having a level full hearth surface on which to light an open fire.
Although this fireplace is French it could be authentic for a property outside France, as its basic classic features could have graced a cottage or modest house in many other European countries.
