Reclaimed elm boards

Reference : 202010

Reclaimed elm boards : This consignment is exceptional because elm is now such a rare commodity since Dutch Elm Disease decimated Europe’s Elm trees decades ago. Furniture-makers and wood flooring specialists take note, this rare consignment of approx 120 square metres (1,291 sq ft) is a “once in a blue moon” find. Elm being such a historically appropriate timber in, for example, English historic homes and listed buildings, and for period and contemporary furniture-making, this consignment will provide the authentic raw material for specialists to restore or re-create in the period style AND the correct choice of timber. These band-sawn boards were used by a farmer as they were simply laid out in a hay loft without even being nailed down. There may be exceptions, but these boards have virtually no nails or nail holes.
