Reclaimed terracotta tiles
Reclaimed terracotta floor tiles gives a charming and natural and warm appearance to interiors. The subtly variable warm colors and shades of reclaimed quarry tiles are different to new terracotta flooring.
Old frencH Terra-cotta floor tiles
Our antique reclaimed terra-cotta floor tiles are ideal for creating, or re-creating an authentic natural and warm ambiance for interiors (and exterior terraces in frost-free climates). The subtle variation of warm colours and shades of old terracotta are different to new terracotta flooring and therefore particularly suitable for restoring historic interiors, great and small, and for ecologically friendly new-build projects.
With a variable patina from wear in-situ for well over a hundred years (and for some more rare consignments many hundreds of years), our French terracotta floor tiles can be integrated into historic or vernacular projects, and contemporary where character and their reclaimed nature are important.

Their colour variation is frequently the result of variable firing temperature in the kiln. All terracotta tiles have a degree of porosity, and that permits moisture permeability, part of an old buildings « breathability ». However different surface treatments can be applied, either age-old such as wax or oil, or modern sealants to apply after installation as you would for new terra-cotta tiles or for stone flooring.
