Antique black stone floor
Antique black stone floor : A job lot of 19 m2 (204 sq ft) square antique reclaimed limestone floor slabs is rare. This black stone is the densest of black limestones, which is polishable. The availability of authentic antique stone floors such as this is very limited. Limestone which is polishable is referred to as a marble. This Truly Reclaimed black limestone is from a quarry in Wallonia (in Belgium), either from Mazy or from the nearby village of Golzinne (near Gembloux), from the same vein of limestone. This dense black polishable limestone is known in France as “Noir de Golzinne » or « Noir de Mazy ». Thanks to its’ density of black this limestone has been used over the centuries for prestigious decor and architectural features, from Versailles Palace to the Taj Mahal. Job Lot = 19 m2 (204 sq ft)
