Antique reclaimed French slate oyster-bed strips
Antique reclaimed French slate oyster-bed strips. This consignment of truly reclaimed slate has unexpected provenance, from France’s oyster beds West of our Loire Valley premises, where some oyster farmers use local Angers slate strips onto which the oysters cling during their growing cycle. That explains why there are the characteristic white calcium traces of oyster shell on the surface to a lesser or greater extent (depends how much you want to scrape off). Use them for unique flooring or paving. Even a herringbone laying pattern is possible. They can also be used for wall cladding.
