Distressed checkerboard marble floors

Distressed checkerboard marble floors comprising Classic white Carrera marble combined with black marble squares. Both are aged with tool-marks and sand-blasting to ressemble historic black & white check marble flooring. This « antiqued » new flooring is for those who seek a marble floor with the worn historic appearance admired in Italian and French palaces and ecclesiastic buildings, rather than the highly polished marble of new floors. Many other countries feature ancient marble floors in their historic buildings too. We are in « Shabby Chic » territory here …. lovely. For bathrooms they will of course be more « non-slip » than polished marble.
