This stone flooring or paving is robust “antiqued” French limestone with lots of character. As standard there are either a regular single width, or three widths x various lengths. This French stone flooring features deliberate stone colour differences to create a rustic but harmonious stone floor to look authentic for projects from cottages to castles, and for their gardens and terraces. These subtly different slabs are actually new, extracted from the same French quarry, but from 3 different strata (beiges/ocres/greys). The top face and edges are lightly distressed too (but without “fake pillowing”) to give a worn historic appearance, particularly when combined with narrow lime-colour mortar joints. Ideal with underfloor heating. You can grout using appropriate pre-mixed “limestone colour” mortar, or mix the raw materials traditionally yourselves.
