Antique firedogs with spit roast supports : This heavyweight pair of antique firedogs or “andirons” is hand-forged by a blacksmith in wrought iron, 19th century or older. This pair was made in an age-old functional style with three sets of spit roast supports at the front, and one at the top, that could be put back into service in a traditional fireplace.
