Reclaimed roof tiles
At BCA, we have large stocks of reclaimed canal tiles and antique flat roof tiles, available for dispatch across France, Europe and worldwide. You can come to view our products at either of our two depots in the Maine & Loire (49), and in Normandy (14). All of our reclaimed terracotta tiles here.
Our French antique reclaimed roof tiles are generally reclaimed from demolition or renovation sites in different regions of France. These reclaimed terra-cotta roof tiles will give authentic historic charm to old house restorations or to new build properties. When used over a modern waterproof membrane in accordance with the country’s building regs, installed by qualified roofers, they provide a charming and authentic alternative to new roof tiles.
French roof tiles “canal”
Our reference 00062 are often referred to as antique Mission tiles, Barrel tiles, channel roof tiles, Roman tiles … They are being re-used on Provençal or Mediterranean style properties across France and in other countries where their historic authenticity is required, and where the property owners do not want to use new tiles whether or not they have an imitation « antiqued » upper surface.
Antique clay roof tiles
Reclaimed flat tiles ref 00148 and 00043, sometimes called « peg tiles » bring character and a natural vernacular charm to buildings, great or small. From cottages and farmhouses, to manor houses and their extensive outbuildings, the nuances of colour and authentic irregularities make these roofs almost a work of art. They are sourced from several regions of France including Normandy, and as for our antique canal tiles and reclaimed quarry tiles are also exported for projects where historic authenticity is required.
