Small wall fountain in limestone and brick
Small wall fountain in limestone and brick: The fountain pool consists of three blocks of carved limestone (one for the front face and two for the sides). The backdrop is made of antique reclaimed bricks. Supplied loose, these bricks would need to be mortared in during final installation, ensuring a seamless and sturdy finish. At the center of the pediment is a cast iron lion’s head with spout integrated. This sculptural detail is both decorative and functional, but is new, not antique. The component parts are supplied loose, not built in advance.
Either with a flow of natural water, or with the installation of a circulation pump system, a stream of water can flow from the lion’s mouth to add a dynamic cooling and audibly soothing element to the fountain. A cut slate slab is supplied to finish the top of the back pediment.
The combination of antique reclaimed and new natural materials gives this fountain a rustic aesthetic, ideal for traditional gardens.
