Antique pottery receptacle

Antique pottery receptacle: This very old pottery jar or vase was clearly used for storing liquid, and still has its lower drain hole. Either a cork or a tiny tap would have been fitted in order to dispense whatever precious liquor it contained. Its decor is limited to some simple wavy swirls scratched around the sides prior being fired in a kiln.

Over time it has gained a striking patina, a Truly Reclaimed functional decorative antique.
