Charming little antique fireback

Charming little antique fireback : This unusually small antique cast-iron fireback will be ideal in a small fireplace. With its half-round top and motifs of volutes supporting what appears to be a pair of hands and a three ducks within a heart, topped by perhaps a crown, or a hill crest. Is this a noble coat of arms, or perhaps a wedding gift for the happy couple? Pure romantic speculation perhaps, but these antique firebacks can contain a story. This one is no younger than 19th century, and could be centuries older than that.
