Cast iron fireback dated 1691.
This classic antique iron fire-back may well be that old, but we really can’t tell. However it’s certainly very old, with its royal Fleur de Lys and fluted columns being striking features. This fireback is particularly thick, and will be a particularly authentic feature in a historic fireplace.
