French Bastille oak herringbone flooring
French Bastille oak herringbone flooring : French herringbone parquet made in solid oak, this BASTILLE version is in rich mid-tone oak featuring a lightly brushed « distressed » upper surface. This Classic herringbone format of French parquet is iconic in French chateaux from the 17th century onwards, 19th century Parisian Haussmann era apartments, and « Maison de Maître » mansion houses in general. It is frequently chosen for Classic contemporary interiors too. Each piece is an individual board with tongues and grooves on all 4 edges pre-finished with a satin varnish, ready to lay. There are left and right boards supplied in equal quantities. Being newly-made it permits large quantities of this Bastille oak chevron product to be ordered over time, whereas BCA’s higher priced authentic antique oak herringbone parquet are prepared « ready-to-lay » in our workshops from limited reclaimed stocks.
