Classic antique limestone column

Classic antique limestone column : This antique French limestone pillar is monumental enough to support an imposing statue. It is presumed 18th or 19th century. Being a single « stand alone » column it will find its place as a centre-piece feature in a historic garden or park. Alternatively consider using it as a monumental structural support, particularly as its height is about right for supporting the ends of beams in the middle of a very wide room, because many rooms are too wide for typical oak beams to be able to span that far.
