Antique Nantes iron balcony railings
Antique Nantes iron balcony railings: This is a consignment of 29 linear metres (95 feet) of individual balcony railings most of which have a return at either end. Whether they are re-used as balcony railings, or as garden railings or even interior mezzanine hand-rails is up to the client’s imagination.
The upper frieze of the railings features cast iron geometric patterns. The vertical bars are in solid round section with a decorative moulding on each. They have a a verdigris green paint that has weathered to an interesting patina. This « shabby chic » patina could be preserved, or all the metalwork could be restored and repainted. It would depend on the nature of the project.
Details of the individual balconies can be supplied on request. Their provenance is from a mansion in historic French city of Nantes on the River Loire.
