Iron Window Guard Rails

Iron Window Guard Rails : Cast iron window guard rails in the Paris “Haussmann” style. These are new reproductions in cast iron.

Dimensions :

• Different sizes for windows with width between side jambs: 60cm (24 inches), 74cm (29 inches), 80 cm (32 inches) x height of guard rail approx 17cm (7 inches).
• Different sizes for windows with width between side jambs: 90cm (35.5 inches) and 100cm (39.5″) wide x height of guard rail approx 20cm (8 inches).

See BCA ref 201993 for a wider version. NB: the double pins at each end are intended to be embedded into the masonry or woodwork of the window’s side jambs. Sold without paint or galvanized protection, they will need to receive an effective paint or varnish finish against rust, and fit a simple wooden top rail for best results. We can supply the top hand rail which we make from our stocks of antique reclaimed French oak, milled with a rounded upper moulding, and a groove along the underside into which the upper rail of the cast iron guard fits.
