Pied Piper of Hamelin statue

Reference : 2024009

Pied Piper of Hamelin statue: This remarkably lifelike metal statue of (we think) the Pied Piper of Hamelin taking a break is not that old, presumed 20th century. He is expertly depicted by the sculptor in metal, presumed mainly bronze and copper. The detail is glorious and humerous, from the boy’s cheeky facial features to his stylish clothes and the fruit and wine he’s enjoying at table (under-age drinking ??). His flute and Pan’s pipes are on the table.

So many statues are gloomy affairs, but this one is attractive and full of joie de vivre.
