Reclaimed sandstone cobbles from Fontainebleau: This is a consignment of antique Truly Reclaimed French cobblestones which are 19th century (or older) in gritstone (hard sandstone) from the Fontainebleau quarries near Paris. Their colours are those Classic warm tones of beige that you see at so many of Paris’s famous monuments and of course at Fontainebleau Palace.

Classic Fontainebleau gritstone (hard sandstone) antique reclaimed setts such as these are full of character with their mixed sizes and worn upper faces. They will find their place on a landscape, courtyard or driveway project where authenticity is paramount. They are ideal for vehicle traffic due to the robust nature of this stone, whether laid edge to edge as intended, or set slightly apart slightly with joints. Consignments such as this have in the past also been sold for garage flooring for classic car collections, or even for wine cellars.
