Antique grey marble fireplace in Louis XVI style: This stunning antique Louis XVI style fireplace, dating from the 19th century, is an elegant piece crafted in grey marble. It is perfect for adding character and refinement to your interior. The grey marble offers a harmonious blend of dark tones and subtle veining.

The jambs and mantel of this fireplace are adorned with fluting, a characteristic detail of the Louis XVI style. On the mantel, a delicate carved flower on each side adds a touch of subtle ornamentation.

The hearth is embellished with a backplate featuring a diamond pattern, each containing a carved flower. On either side of the backplate, two metal “servants” (hooks) are present, designed for hanging fireplace accessories. The hearth also includes an integrated opening/closing system, complete with a curtain, pulley mechanism, and counterweight.

Each side of the jambs features an air vent with a grille and damper, allowing for better air circulation around the hearth.

In excellent condition, this fireplace is complete and has been carefully preserved over time. It is both a decorative and functional piece, perfectly suited for installation in a living room, library, or reception room, where it will create a warm and elegant atmosphere.
