Sparkling Red rectangular Bejmat tiles : Bejmat tiles have a more rustic aspect than our Zellige tiles, retaining their original sides with the glaze encroaching the edges (rather than the chiseled straight-edged Zellige tiles). The ref 2022156 colour is the the striking « Sparkling Red n°46 ». They are close in size and appearance to small glazed bricks, as can be seen on these photos. Our Moroccan Bejmat tiling is made by skilled artisans retaining the traditions of past generations, and come with the same glaze colour choices. They are used with or without joints for vertical tiling throughout an interior (or exteriors in non-freezing climates), and are used horizontally too, such as in kitchens and bathrooms, and even for swimming pools. They are frequently chosen for their lovely colours with subtle colour variation, and go very well with our other natural products in wood, stone and antique reclaimed terracotta.
