Brushed reclaimed oak wagon boards

Brushed reclaimed oak wagon boards : BCA’s reclaimed French oak railway wagon boards, partially finished as a great step towards easy re-use. We saw them down to approx 2cm thick, retaining the surface with worn patina. This surface is then mechanically brushed in BCA’s specialist machine, so that typical marks, knocks and even burns are therefore attenuated into characteristic “worn” features. With T & G. Can also be re-used for partitioning and wall cladding. A shop fitters’ favorite too, as shown on these photos in a major Paris fashion store. Selected for display at September’s Maison & Objet trade fair in Paris where it had received a waxed finish.
Typical board dimensions approx:
- lengths : Mostly 250 cm (8ft) / A few between 100 cm and 200 cm (3ft – 6ft).
- widths 15cm to 17cm (6 to 6.75 inches)
- thickness 2cm (0.8 inch).
