“Dunkirk” – New Engineered oak flooring

“Dunkirk” – New Engineered oak flooring : This “Dunkirk” oak is high quality wood flooring with a generous solid oak upper layer on a Birch-plywood base. These engineered oak floorboards feature a deliberately aged patina with a pronounced grain, worn and slightly blackened, which has then received a waterproofing impregnation. Although the name was not chosen with that in mind, Dunkirk in British military history is remembered for the battering suffered in 1940, and the rescue by the flotilla of small boats….. so it’s a good name for this intentionally “battered” oak flooring.
