Big antique reclaimed terracotta jar: This impressive of medium size amphora-type jar has a weathered burnt umber coating. It has four upper handles moulded into the top, and an « entwined rope » decor all around it.
It will make a splendid decorative feature either inside or outside (not in freezing conditions). It is in good condition overall, although the peeling burnt umber is coming off but the resulting patina is very pleasing.

On display in BCA’s architectural salvage and flooring showrooms at L’Hôtellerie-de-Flée, in the Maine & Loire département near Segré.
