Classic spiked wrought steel gates

Classic spiked wrought steel gates : These are newly-made gates using solid steel bar (rather than wrought iron), forged traditionally to create graceful arabesques along a central band with curvy spikes along the top. These heavyweight double gates are seriously robust, not made from weak lightweight tubes.

They are ideal for a prestigious property whether in France or for export. This pair of gates has had upper and lower sheet steel panels welded on, thereby providing extra privacy and security, particularly important if the property is in an urban environment or on a busy road. The mid-height and top decorative features remain visible features because the steel sheets do not mask them. Their Classic look is therefore maintained.

These solid steel gates have had no protective treatment applied. It is for the purchaser to decide whether to apply rust-proofing or galvanize, then paint them. In fact many clients prefer to let them weather in-situ allowing them to gain their « Shabby Chic » rust over time, but applying oil or an oil-based product to slow the process.
