Antique limestone column : Antique limestone column, which is presumed 18th century or older. Only 1 available to order.
These columns were used for supporting structure above, such as stone or brick vaulting in cellars, or for supporting the ends of twin beams in the centre of a wide medieval hall, where the width of the room was too wide for single load-bearing beams to span. You can re-use these Truly Reclaimed columns for the same purpose, or perhaps outside for supporting a pergola, or simply as historic garden features. They are on display at our Normandy premises at Méry-Corbon, between Caen & Lisieux.
