Antique French limestone well-head from 18th century
Antique French limestone well-head from 18th century. This is a particularly worn water feature, full of character and the history of its functionality.
The stonework is presumed 18th century and could be much older, although its forged iron would be more recent. Overall weight approx 600 kg (1,320 US lbs approx).
Metric Dimensions approx:
Exterior diameter 1.3 metres and interior diameter 75 cm
Height of stone surround 65 cm. Overall height with it’s gantry is 2 metres
Imperial dimensions approx:
Exterior diameter 4 ft 3 inches and interior diameter 2 ft 6 inches
Height of stone surround 2 ft. Overall height with its gantry is 6 ft 6 inches
