Antique Louis XVI fireplace with carved lintel: The lintel of this antique French fireplace features typical Louis XVI carved motifs. In its center, there is a draped relief carving set against a backdrop of fluting, which are classical motifs for this period. On either side, stylized flowers are depicted, which are also characteristic of this style.
The jambs are adorned with carved panel effects that follow their contours, typical of Louis XVI neoclassicism. At their base, a subtle projection enhances the presence of this stunning piece.
