Antique French limestone Louis XVI fireplace: This elegant finely carved limestone fireplace is a classic example of the Louis XVI style. It is a French chimneypiece integrating the classic influences of the era in the detail of its form and hand-carved mouldings. There are fluted side jambs. On the lintel there is a central urn with leaves, flanked by vertical fluting with a rosette at each extremity.

This Louis XVI style antique fireplace will go well in a historic room, or as a classic feature in a more modern or eclectic space.
